Emergency Medical Center (First Aid Station) Branch of
Chinese Hospital Association is an exclusive national professional
organization for Chinese emergency practitioners/administrators.
It is a non-profit, grass-root based organization formed
by emergency centers around China on a voluntary basis.
As a national class II society, Emergency Medical Center
(First Aid Station) Branch is affiliated to Chinese Hospital
Association, and it is under the direct leadership of Ministry
of Civil Administration, Ministry of Health, in addition
to Chinese Hospital Association. It was officially founded
in Qingdao in April 2002 with its organizational secretarial
department set at Beijing Emergency Center.
The objectives of Emergency Medical Center (First
Aid Station) Branch are:
* To raise the standards of Chinese pre-hospital services
by promoting academic and information exchanges among pre-hospital
emergency service practitioners
* To enhance international exchange and collaboration
in order to introduce new concepts, technologies and practices
to Chinese pre-hospital emergency services
* To provide a platform for discussing the role of medical
emergency centers (stations), and positioning medical emergency
centers (stations) in overall urban health systems
* To develop modern emergency service systems in urban
areas
* To enhance nationwide collaboration among emergency
service systems in large-scale, disastrous events
* To promote research on personnel, vehicle, equipment,
uniform, regulations and standards of emergency service
* To provide recommendations and advice to national and
local governments on emergency service policy and regulation
making
